Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has taken a principled decision to arrange mass marriage of four thousand deserving girls from the social security fund for which a grant of Rs 2 lakh will be provided per girl.
A meeting regarding the use of social security funds was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, in which it was directed to formulate a new model for better and meaningful use of the fund so that the beneficiaries can stand on their own feet.
Chief Minister Ali Amin Ganda directed to collect data from all districts for collective marriage of deserving girls and to provide quota to each district in proportion to population for which committees will be formed at the level of village councils to maintain transparency.
Ali Amin Gandapour said that no political recommendations and personal likes and dislikes will work in the process of distributing funds and the relevant authorities will be held accountable in case of any kind of corruption or fraud.
The Chief Minister directed to provide standard electric wheelchairs to special needy persons and to ensure representation of at least three women in each forum of Zakat Committees while also agreeing to the proposal to increase the tenure of Zakat Committees from three years to five years. has been.
The meeting also agreed on the proposal to establish a contribution fund for philanthropists.
