ASI Zahoor was ordered to submit a surety bond of Rs.2 lakh
The Islamabad High Court suspended the punishment given to Islamabad Police ASI Zahoor under the Official Secrets Act.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the High Court heard the appeal against the sentence.
Imran Feroze Malik appeared before the court on behalf of the appellant and argued that the prosecution could not produce evidence under the Official Secrets Act.

The court, while accepting the miscellaneous application for suspension of sentence, ordered ASI Zahoor to submit a surety bond of two lakh rupees.
It should be noted that the Special Court of Official Secrets sentenced ASI Zahoor Ahmed of Islamabad Police to three years for the crime of providing secret documents to a foreign ambassador.
