Peshawar: 2 terrorists were killed in an operation by security forces in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to police sources, a police encounter took place in the limits of Lucky Marwat police station. In the exchange of fire, 2 terrorists of the banned organization Tipu Gul Group were killed and other accomplices fled towards the mountain. 2 Kalashnikovs, 8 magazines, dozens of cartridges and 4 hand grenades were also recovered from the possession of the dead terrorists.
Police sources further say that in the intelligence-based operation, the police and the Department of Anti-Terrorism Force Bannu region took action jointly. The terrorists were planning to attack the police post Abbasiya Khattak and the police station Dadiwala. The terrorists attacked the police force with grenades from the opposite direction. The exchange of fire continued for half an hour. The bodies of the terrorists killed in the operation were shifted to Sarai Norang Hospital for post-mortem.
