London: A man in Britain has received a letter sent more than a century ago that was actually sent to his old housemate as early as 1916.
Finley Glenn, from London, said he received the letter at his home address a few years ago, but it was addressed to an unknown person and had a very old postmark.
Finley said he saw the year 16 written on it, leading him to believe it was 2016. But later he noticed that the stamp had the king’s face instead of the queen’s so he realized it couldn’t be 2016.
The letter was addressed to ‘Osold Marsh’ and the sender was identified as Christabel Meynell.
Finley said that when he realized the letter was very old, he had no problem opening it.
