Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a big plan for the farmers and said that food and drink items will become cheaper.
Assembly members from different districts of the province met Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in which she paid tribute to the reduction in the prices of other food items including bread and said that in less than 3 months, the price of essential items will be reduced. Rate cuts are at record lows. On this occasion, the members of the assembly presented public issues, suggestions and recommendations, on which the Chief Minister Punjab directed them to continue close contact with the people.
Maryam Nawaz said during the meeting that the prices of food and beverages will be further reduced. A huge Kisan Card project is coming up for the farmers of Punjab. Wheat procurement used to be fraudulent, now direct farmers will give subsidy. It has been proposed to the federal government to reduce the import duty on agricultural machinery and tractors etc. Separate systems are also being made for price control and other issues.
He said that hybrid buses are being introduced in the cities and they will give motorcycles to the youth. Loan proposal for construction of house on 2 to 4 marla plot is also under consideration. They will make houses for the homeless people, they are considering giving plots in the villages. Nawaz Sharif is contacting other countries including China for IT City.
Members of Provincial Assembly Hina Parvez Butt, Marghub Ahmed, Kashif Padhar, Muhammad Hasan Riaz, Naeem Safdar Ansari, Ghazali Saleem Butt, Zahid Akram, Tariq Subhani, Muhammad Salman Naeem, Qasim Nadeem, former Member of Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Shehbaz and Bilal Zulfikar Ali Khokhar were involved.
