Peshawar: The patience of the citizens was exhausted due to loadshedding. Agitated people came out on the streets protesting and blocked the motorway.
According to Express News, the people of Akbarpura and nearby villages in Peshawar blocked the highway from Peshawar M1 to Charsada in protest against prolonged electricity load shedding. Protesters say that long load shedding of 12 to 16 hours is being done in Akbarpura and adjacent areas.

The protestors said that the protest will not end until assurances are given to reduce unannounced load shedding.
