Karachi: The Sindh High Court has summoned an affidavit from K Electric on a petition related to unannounced loadshedding on Jahangir Road, Jamshed Quarter.
According to Express News, before a two-member bench headed by Justice Salahuddin Paiwar, a hearing was held on an application related to unannounced load shedding on Jahangir Road, Jamshed Quarter.
Justice Salahuddin Paiwar remarked that unannounced load shedding is being done on Jahangir Road, what is the fault of those people who used to pay the bill? Submit a report to the court that how much load shedding is happening in the applicant’s area?
The lawyer of K Electric stated that we have objection to this petitioner who fights the case and charges fees.
The court asked K Electric’s lawyer how much money he would have earned from the fee. There are some people who do such cases for public interest. These applicants are very gentle, tell me where the loadshedding is being done?
The lawyer of K Electric stated that there is a case of load shedding on Jahangir Road.
The court asked the petitioner how the people live, what is the financial status of the people there and the petitioner said that very poor middle class people live there.
The court remarked that those who don’t even have AC, do load shedding where people have nothing to eat.
The court inquired from the public prosecutor that you know that countries like Europe give funds for tree planting, they give money to plant trees on thousands of acres here, you should use this money to install solar to these people. come on
Justice Salahuddin Paiwar said that you will not install solar on schools, but you will not install solar on libraries, 3 billion have been approved. They will make solar plates in the name of Ms. Your compulsions will no longer work.
The petitioner said that K Electric created such conditions that people were forced to commit suicide.
The lawyer of K Electric stated that the Sindh government should be ordered to help us in removing the hinges. The court remarked that you should write under oath how much load shedding is happening. The petitioner’s cause will not affect your advocacy.
The court called for an affidavit from K Electric.
