Karachi: It has been revealed that unregistered and private vehicles are being driven with fake government number plates by government officials in Sindh.
A letter has been sent to the heads of all government departments on behalf of the Chief Secretary. According to the letter sent by the Department of Services General Administration and Coordination, this is a very serious criminal act, on which strict legal action should be taken against the concerned officers.
It has been said in the post that the government officers are driving with fake government number plates on private vehicles as well as unregistered vehicles.
A letter has also been sent to Chairman Planning and Development Board, Secretaries of all departments and IG. Apart from this, a letter has also been sent to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Senior Member Board of Revenue across the province.
Chief Secretary Sindh has said in this regard that action should be taken against the officers for misconduct. No official number plate shall be affixed on the vehicle of any departmental officer which is not registered.
