Karachi: Police arrested 16 bandits during encounters in different areas and recovered weapons and stolen goods from them.

New Karachi Industrial Area, Shahrah Noorjehan, Jamshed Quarter, Nazimabad and Sir Syed Police arrested 16 robbers including 7 injured after alleged encounters.

The New Karachi Industrial Area Police arrested 4 robbers, including 2 injured ones, after an alleged encounter at Khamisa Goth Double PMT Road Sector 5/F between Sunday and Monday night. The injured arrested accused were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical assistance.

According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, the arrested suspects were identified as 24-year-old Mujahid Gopang son of Muhammad Musa and 20-year-old Muhammad Kashif alias Kashi son of Muhammad Qasim, while the other 2 arrested suspects identified themselves as Muhammad Arif son of Ghulam Sarwar and Muhammad. Zeeshan son of Muhammad Amin has told. 2 accomplices of the arrested accused managed to escape from the spot. 4 pistols with bullets, mobile phones, cash and 2 motorcycles have been recovered from the arrested accused.

Shahrah-i Noorjehan Police arrested 3 robbers including one injured after an alleged encounter near DA Ground of Deer Colony Block P North Nazimabad between Sunday and Monday night. The injured arrested suspect was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment, identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Sudhir son of Abdul Hameed, while the other 2 arrested suspects identified themselves as Asif Ali son of Ghulam Shabir and Rizwan Ali son. Munoor Ahmed has told. 2 pistols with bullets, mobile phones, cash and a motorcycle were recovered from the arrested accused.

Jamshed Quarter Police arrested a dacoit in an injured condition after an alleged encounter near Kashmir Road Cut Jail Chowrangi between Sunday and Monday night, who was shifted to Civil Hospital for medical assistance. The arrested accused was identified as 28-year-old Nasir Ould Bakhtiar, from whom a pistol along with bullets, mobile phone, cash and motorcycle were recovered.

Nazimabad Police arrested 6 robbers including 2 injured ones after an alleged encounter near Nazimabad No. 4 Gujjar Nala in the early morning of Monday, who were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical assistance. The injured suspects were identified as Muhammad Muawiya son of Muhammad Nadeem and Imtiaz Ali son of Ghulam Ali, while the other arrested accused were identified as Abdul Jabbar son of Fazl Subhan, Manzoor Ahmed son of Muhammad Ramzan, Ali Sher son of Muhammad Hussain and Abdur Rehman son of Abdur Rehman said. 3 pistols with bullets, 18 seized mobile phones, thousands of rupees in cash and 2 motorcycles were recovered from the arrested accused.

Sir Syed Police arrested a dacoit in an injured condition after an alleged encounter near Shah Muhammad Graveyard Gate No. 3 North Nazimabad in the early morning of Monday, who was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical assistance. The arrested accused was identified as 21-year-old Muhammad Hussain son of Muhammad Bilal. An accomplice of the accused managed to escape by firing from the spot. A pistol along with bullets, mobile phones, cash and 125 motorcycles were recovered from the arrested accused.
