Lahore: Renowned scholar and intellectual Qasim Ali Shah has been appointed as Chairman Board of Governors of Lahore Arts Council.

According to Express News, Qasim Ali Shah has been appointed as the chairman for three years.

Other members include Imran Qureshi, Qudsia Rahim, Abbas Tabish, Razi Ahmed, Sajida Windal.

Shahid Mehmood Nadeem, Mohammad Ahmad Shah, Hamad Ghaznavi, Salima Hashmi, Sofia Bidar and Dr. Neelam Naz will also be part of the governing body.

The governing body of Alhamra Arts Council has been formed on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab.

According to the declaration, this body formulates new policies and sets new directions in the field of literature and culture.
