Karachi: Sindh government has released more than 3 billion for safe city project to make Karachi a safe city.
Sindh Provincial Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Linjar has issued instructions to complete the first phase of the Safe City project in 12 months to make Karachi the safest city.
He said that with the completion of the Safe City project, not only the rate of crime will gradually decrease, but it will also be possible to get rid of the involved elements along with getting full help in the elimination of crimes.
Regarding the second phase of the Safe City project, he said that in the second phase, efforts will be made to ensure all necessary measures to cover Karachi completely.
The provincial interior minister said that after Karachi, overall steps will be taken to expand the scope of this project to other cities of Sindh.
He said that no government wants crimes to happen, People’s Party has always prioritized measures against crimes in all its priorities.
He said that due to the steps taken by the Sindh Police under the umbrella of the support and assistance of the Sindh government, the law and order situation is gradually improving, I do not say that the situation is completely improved and the aspirations of the people are fulfilled. It is correct, but the situation has definitely improved compared to before.
Sindh Home Minister further said that efforts are being made at all levels to stabilize law and order and harmonize it with the requirements of public interest and above all I am satisfied and happy with the performance of our police against crime.
