Karachi: The altercation during the matriculation exams in Golestan Johar escalated where an influential police officer along with his sons seriously injured 16-year-old student Abdul Rahman, whose condition is critical.
Footage of public violence and altercation with a young student by a police officer has also emerged, in which police inspector Abdul Rauf along with his sons and colleagues attacked the young man and tore the student’s head off with an iron rod and hit him on the face. Did the worst torture.
According to the father of a student, Abdul Rahman, who is being treated in the hospital, his son’s friend had a quarrel at school, in revenge for which police inspector Abdul Rauf hit the son with an iron rod, causing brain injuries.
He said that when people came near to rescue the son, the police officer took out his weapon and said that I am DSP and threatened the people.
The father of the injured student said that his son has been under treatment in the hospital for 5 hours, CT scan has been done twice and his condition is critical.
A case has been registered against police officers Abdul Rauf, Hasher, Rehan and others and the Karachi Police Chief, taking notice of the fight during the matriculation exams in Gulistan Johar, has sought a detailed report from the SSP East regarding the incident.
Karachi Police Chief has ordered strict legal action against the accused.
SSP East Dr. Farrukh Raza said that the Additional IG Karachi has appointed an inquiry officer on the matter of violence against the young student, after which the CCTV footage of the place and surrounding areas is being obtained and eyewitnesses. The statements are also being recorded.
He said that a case of the incident has been registered and the perpetrators of torture will be arrested soon.
