Recently Tik Tok sellers have started selling vaping products to children illegally in the form of colored lip gloss and toffees.
According to media reports, an investigation into the products sold on TikTok found that vaping products were being sold in the form of colored lip glosses and toffees.
Researchers analyzed hundreds of posts on the TikTok app to identify hashtags that refer to drugs and e-cigarettes sold on the platform.
The researchers found that a short video clip advertising a seemingly harmless product to young children could appear, but words on the screen told children that any package they ordered would contain vapes.
The research, published in the journal ‘Nicotine and Tobacco Research’, also identified popular hashtags such as #puffbars #geekbar and elfbar#. These display brands of disposable e-cigarettes.
In the same way some secret words are listed which indicate that the products being sold are accompanied by vapes. These secret words include puffbundles, #discreetshipping# and hiddennic#.
