California: Instant messaging application WhatsApp is working on a feature that will help users easily dismiss notifications of unread messages.

This new update will feature an option that will automatically delete unread messages when the app is opened.

As reported by WhatsApp Beta Info, the update released by the company was identified in the Android version 2.24.11.13 of the WhatsApp beta.

The main objective of this feature is to reduce the amount of messages received by users and reduce the psychological burden. Using this feature, users will be able to start the notification from scratch every time they open WhatsApp.

A screenshot shared by WhatsApp Beta Info reveals that the new feature will allow users to select an option to automatically de-count unread messages. This means that as many times as users open WhatsApp, the notifications of unread messages will be zero.
