Karachi: Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by 63 runs in Pakistan Super League 8.
In the 10th match of the league played at the National Stadium Karachi, Quetta Gladiators managed to score 135 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Jason Roy scored 48 runs for Quetta Gladiators. Mohammad Hafeez 25, Martin Guptill 15, Qais Ahmed 9, Odin Smith 9, Iftikhar Ahmed 6 and Mohammad Nawaz 2 were dismissed.
Captain Sarfraz Ahmed remained not out scoring 16 runs.
On behalf of Lahore Qalandars, captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and David Wiese took 3, 3 wickets while Rashid Khan and Sikandar Raza took 1, 1 wicket.
Earlier, while batting first at the invitation of Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars scored runs for the loss of wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
On behalf of Lahore Qalandars, wicketkeeper Batter Shai Hope was outstanding by scoring 47 runs. Mirza Baig 31, Hussain Talat 26, Fakhar Zaman 22, Kamran Ghulam 21 and David Wiese scored 1 run.
Sikandar Raza scored 32 runs while Rashid Khan remained unbeaten with 11 runs.
On behalf of Quetta Gladiators, Odin Smith and Qais Ahmed took 2, 2 wickets while Muhammad Nawaz and Muhammad Hasnain took 1, 1 wicket.
