Islamabad: For the first time in the city government, all housing societies have been asked to pay government fees in the sale and transfer of plots.

According to Express News, Revenue Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon has issued a letter to all housing societies in which it has been said that housing societies do not pay government taxes while transferring plots, sale deeds, leases and other properties without paying stamp duty. but property tax, remittance tax and other government taxes are not paid.

The letter said that without payment of taxes, the legal status of property documents is not maintained, all housing societies should provide all documents and details in this regard.
