Karachi: Load shedding in the city of Quaid has made life miserable for the citizens. Aggrieved by the power outage, citizens staged protests in various areas and set fire to tires, causing traffic to remain suspended for several hours.

The residents of the affected area protested and suspended the traffic on Muach Goth Hub River Road. On this occasion, angry protesters burnt tires and raised slogans against the concerned authorities, while traffic was suspended, resulting in long queues of vehicles and worst traffic jams.

According to the traffic police spokesperson, at around 11 o’clock on Wednesday night, against the power outage, the residents of the area closed both the tracks of Muach Goth Hub River Road and Northern Bypass for traffic. arrived and diverted the small vehicles from the PSO pump towards the 24 market while the heavy traffic was lined up.

During the protest, tires were set on fire by the agitators and loud slogans were raised against the K Electric authorities. The protestors said that practically no notice or action against the concerned authorities is being taken on the part of the government regarding the power outage in the extreme heat, they are saving their lives by running the work only through verbal donations.

Due to the worst traffic jam in the adjacent areas including Hub River Road due to the protest, the common citizens faced severe difficulties and hardship.
