Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was released from jail after several months of imprisonment.
The Kot Lakhpat Jail administration confirmed the release of Pervez Elahi, saying that four cases were registered against him, in which he has been released on bail.
Parvez Elahi was transferred from Adiala to Kot Lakhpat Jail some time ago, there were other cases against him including fake recruitment in Punjab Assembly.
According to the sources, Zahoor Hussain has reached Palace after Parvez Elahi was released from jail. Earlier, the Lahore High Court granted bail to Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and ordered his release.
It should be noted that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was arrested outside his residence in June last year.
