Lahore: Railway authorities have reduced the fares of all classes of trains from 1 km to 200 km.
According to railway officials, the economy class fares of some trains have been reduced by up to 54% while the AC class fares have been reduced by up to 40%.
The minimum fare for economy class of train rail car running between Lahore to Rawalpindi was Rs 250 which has been reduced to Rs 100.
The economy class fare of Khyber Mail train from 1 km to 130 km was Rs 250 which has been reduced to Rs 100.
Twice in a month the fares have been reduced due to the reduction in the price of diesel.
Railway authorities have issued a notification of reduction in train fares which will be implemented from May 21 today.
