Islamabad: Former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Tanveer Ilyas was arrested by the Islamabad Police in an alleged family property dispute.
According to sources, the former prime minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Ilyas Tanveer has been transferred to Margala police station after his arrest and the federal police has confirmed the arrest of the former prime minister of Azad Kashmir.
He said that former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Tanveer Ilyas has been arrested in the case of alleged seizure of family property and firing.
After the transfer of Sardar Ilyas Tanveer, the door of the Margalla police station was closed and no one is being allowed to enter the police station while their lawyers and workers are outside the police station. Workers have started gathering.
It may be noted that on May 1, a case was registered against the former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan for trying to seize the central offices and important documents of Centaurus Mall.
The FIR was lodged by the Deputy Security In-charge of the Centaurs Mall Col (retd) Tipu Sultan, naming Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Mohammad Ali, Anil Sultan, Rizwan and other unidentified accused.
The FIR stated that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, along with an armed group of 20 to 25 persons, broke into the office at 1708 of Centaurus Mall by breaking the lock, tried to capture the office, which was foiled by the security guards. Ilyas along with his associates threatened to kill Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan and Sardar Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan.
