Lahore: The Andalib sub-inspector posted at Kahana police station severely tortured traffic assistant Luqman, the video of which went viral on social media.
In the viral video, it can be seen that the sub-inspector tied the traffic assistant with ropes on the road and hit him with a stick on his back and jaws.
According to the sources, the sub-inspector called Naka to return 15,000, motorcycle, watch, mobile phone and valuable licensed pistol seized in the case of aerial firing on a traffic assistant’s friend a few days ago, but sub-inspector Andalib seized it. He was making various excuses to return the documents and kept demanding more money.
Andlib sub-inspector called the traffic assistant to 3 different places for the seized items but did not return the items. The sub-inspector along with 7-8 constables tortured the traffic assistant for the return of the documents.
CTO Lahore Amara Athar took strict notice of the incident and ordered SP President Shahzad Khan to conduct an inquiry and said that full legal action will be taken against the officials involved in the incident.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, taking strict notice, suspended all the officials including the sub-inspector posted at Kahanna Naka. He said that the SP is conducting a complete inquiry into the Model Town incident, if found guilty, a case will be registered against the officials involved in the incident.
