Islamabad: The Foreign Office summoned the Director of Affairs of the Kyrgyz Embassy for a demarche.
According to Express News, the Director General of the Foreign Office has informed the Director General of the Kyrgyz Embassy of Pakistan’s deep concern over the reports of violence against Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan and said that the Kyrgyz government is doing everything possible to ensure the safety of Pakistani students. Actions should be taken.
The Foreign Office has said that the Government of Pakistan takes the issue of safety and security of its countrymen all over the world seriously and will take all necessary steps to ensure their welfare.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has issued instructions to the Foreign Office to keep an eye on the ongoing situation in Kyrgyzstan and provide full assistance and facilities to Pakistani citizens there.
