Investigation has been started with the arrested accused
Peshawar: 6 people, including the employees of Lady Reading Hospital, were arrested for illegally selling government medicines.
According to the spokesperson FIA, a corruption scandal has come to light in the public medicines of Lady Reading Hospital, where the government medicines bought for the patients were sold. FIA arrested 6 accused including three employees of Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.
The accused were involved in smuggling government medicines worth lakhs of rupees. The accused used to illegally sell government medicines issued to Lady Reading Hospital. Sulaiman, Abdul Jabbar, Abid, Imad, Tahir and Yusuf Jan are among the arrested accused.
According to the spokesman, the accused Yousuf John is the mastermind of the gang while the accused Sulaiman, Abdul Jabbar and Abid were performing their duties as technicians at Lady Reading Hospital. On identification of the accused, raids were conducted in different private hospitals of Peshawar. Meanwhile, the accused Imad was arrested from Dabagri Garden, who was working as a ward boy in Shireen Shah Hospital. On the identification of Imad, other accused were arrested.
On the identification of the accused, a huge amount of official medicines have been recovered from the warehouse of Medicos and the warehouse has been sealed. Apart from this, a huge amount of medicines of the government hospital have also been recovered from the private hospital.
Investigation has been started with the arrested accused.
