Peshawar: On the intervention of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Peshawar Electric Company (PESCO) officials agreed to issue a new load shedding schedule in the province.
According to the statement issued by the office of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Pesco along with the relevant staff came to the Chief Minister’s house on the deadline of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to issue a schedule to the federal government to reduce the illegal load shedding of electricity in the province. Chief Secretary, IGP, Commissioner Peshawar and other relevant officials were also present on this occasion.
Chief Pesco assured the meeting to reduce power loadshedding in the province and provide relief to the people and agreed to issue a new loadshedding schedule.
According to the new schedule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 22 hours of load shedding will be reduced to 18 hours and 18 hours of load shedding will be reduced to 14 hours. Directed to prepare the same mechanism.
Ali Amin Gandapur said that the new schedule of load shedding should be sent to the Deputy Commissioners and DPOs of all districts so that they monitor it. FIR should be registered against.
He said that he is ready to talk with the federal government to solve the problems related to electricity, but it cannot be done until the people of the province get immediate relief regarding load shedding.
The Chief Minister said that the provincial government wants to give relief to its people by deducting their arrears.
Ali Amin Gandapur said that despite the increase in the price of electricity per unit from Rs 16 to Rs 65, the citizens are not getting electricity and the electricity transmission system is also not being fixed.
He said that the federal government and PESCO are responsible for the line losses in the province, the punishment is being given to the people of the province which is not acceptable in any case, the provincial government should also provide support to the federal government in terms of recovery and metering. ready for
