Karachi: A CIA police inspector was arrested red-handed while accepting bribes.

According to Director Anti-Corruption Imtiaz Abro, CIA had already received Rs 30 lakh from the family of a man named Police Inspector Adnan. A man named Adnan arrived in Karachi from Dubai on March 25 to go to Europe. Adnan was abducted from a private hotel in Saddar on the night of April 7. Inspector Abid Ali kept demanding money from Adnan’s family.
According to the authorities, Adnan was arrested on April 19 from Hub River Road and remanded after not receiving the required amount. After receiving 30 lakhs from Adnan’s family, another 8 lakhs was demanded and later the police inspector was arrested by anti-corruption while accepting a bribe of 1 lakhs. Police Inspector Abid Ali will be remanded by registering a case.
