Rawalpindi: While releasing the leaders and workers arrested from the protest rally of Tehreek-e-Insaaf yesterday on bail, the court rejected their request for physical remand.
According to Express News, a number of people, including former assembly candidate Shehryar Riaz, were produced in the session court today, who were arrested yesterday. The Bani police have registered a case against them for violating Section 144 and raising slogans against the government.
Civil Judge Nawaz Ashraf approved the bails of all the arrested including Shehryar Riaz, Seemabiya Tahir and ordered the leaders and workers to deposit Rs.
The court rejected the requests for physical remand of the PTI workers and leaders and said that peaceful protest is the fundamental right of everyone under the constitution and law. The judge released the handcuffs of all the arrested in the courtroom. PTI workers also raised slogans on the release.
