Islamabad: The Supreme Court constituted a 5-member larger bench to hear intra-court appeals against the NAB amendment decision.
A 5-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will hear the intra-court appeals against the NAB amendment decision on May 14. Apart from the Chief Justice, Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Khan Mandukhel, Justice Athar Manullah and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi are included in the bench.
The Registrar’s Office has issued notices to the Federation and the Attorney General for the hearing of intra-court appeals against the NAB amendment decision.
It should be noted that the NAB amendments were challenged by the founding chairman of PTI Imran Khan. Former Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial and former retired judge Ejaz Ul Ahsan declared the NAB amendments null and void while Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of the parliament. Declaring the legislation valid, NAB disagreed with the majority decision to declare the amendments null and void.
