According to a study, the chemicals used for vapes are hotAfter May prove to be highly toxic compounds.
Vaping devices heat liquid flavor to a high temperature so that the flavor can be vaporized and inhaled. These vapors contain various chemicals including vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, nicotine and flavorings in varying amounts.
Past studies have shown that some fruit-flavored vapes (such as strawberry, watermelon, and blueberry) produce dangerous compounds called volatile carbonyls due to this fermentation process.
These compounds are known to cause health problems such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
There are thousands of types of vapes around the world that use many chemicals and it can take decades to test the toxicity of each brand and flavor.
However, in this study, researchers used artificial intelligence to analyze the chemical composition of 180 vape flavors and see how they dissolve when heated.
The study, published in the journal Scientific Reports, found that these vapes produced 127 highly toxic chemicals, 153 hazardous chemicals and 225 inflammatory chemicals in the body.
