Rawalpindi: Security forces have claimed to have killed 6 terrorists during operations in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, two separate operations were carried out in Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 8.
An intelligence-based operation was conducted in both areas. Five terrorists were killed in a fierce exchange of fire in Dera Ismail Khan, while a terrorist named Inamullah was killed in North Waziristan.
Arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the slain terrorists. According to ISPR, the terrorists were active in several acts of terror against security forces as well as innocent civilians.
An operation is underway by the security forces to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
