Islamabad: In the Audio Leaks case, the Islamabad High Court issued contempt notices to DGIB, DGFIA and Chairman PTA and imposed a fine of five lakh rupees on the three institutions.

The Islamabad High Court dismissed the petitions filed by the IB, FIA and Pemra against Justice Babar Sattar as malicious and wrote in the judgment that the petition was filed by the three agencies under a scheme to put pressure on the judge. .

The Islamabad High Court wrote in the decision that if they were satisfied, why should contempt of court proceedings be initiated against the heads of the three institutions?

The court dismissed the objection petitions of PTA, FIA, IB, PEMRA and imposed a fine of five lakh rupees for filing the petitions and ordered that this fine shall be paid by the authorizing authority from his own pocket.

Apart from this, Justice Babar Sattar also issued a 40-page judgment on all four objection petitions against the judge, stating that the objection petitions from hearing the case are based on malice, FI, IB, PEMRA, PTA. filed petitions together under a scheme, all four institutions tried to pressure the judge through their petitions.

It is written in the judgment that the court is giving full opportunity to the parties on the issue of tapping the phones of the citizens, meanwhile it has come before the court that the federal government is incapable of giving basic constitutional rights to the citizens.
