Islamabad: The appeal of Sunni Ittehad Council against the decision of Peshawar High Court regarding specific seats has been fixed for hearing in the Supreme Court.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will hear the appeal on May 8 on the issue of specific seats appointed by the Supreme Court for the hearing of the Sunni Unity Council.
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minullah are also included in the Supreme Court bench.
Apart from this, the Supreme Court has also constituted a bench on the appeals of the Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. A three-member bench headed by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will hear the appeals on May 8.
A notice has been issued to the Sunni Ittehad Council and the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly by the Registrar Office of the Supreme Court.
It should be noted that the Election Commission had decided not to give specific seats to the Sunni Ittehad Council, against which the Sunni Ittehad Council had filed an appeal against the decision of the Election Commission. Apart from this, Speaker KP Assembly also filed an appeal against the decision of Peshawar High Court.
