Peshawar: During the recent rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10 people died and 14 were injured due to accidents in three days.
In its report, the PDMA has stated that the dead include 6 men, 2 women and 2 children, while the injured include 5 men, 2 women and seven children, a total of 56 due to falling walls/roofs and lightning. Houses were damaged in which 51 houses were partially damaged and five houses were completely damaged.
According to the PDMA, due to heavy rains, life and financial accidents have occurred in various districts of the province: Bajaur, Swat, Mansehra, Bitgram, Dir Lower Malakand, Lucky Marwat, Kohat Orakzai, Shangla, Dir Upper, Buner, Lower Chitral, Nowshera and Mohmand. Incidentally, the district administration and relief teams are engaged in relief activities in the affected districts.
The PDMA said that all available resources are being utilized by the relief teams and concerned agencies in the affected districts to open the blocked roads, evacuate the tourists to safe places at the tourist spots and restore the blocked roads immediately. There is an instruction to do.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of heavy rains accompanied by strong winds in Peshawar, other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also receive more rains which may continue intermittently till Wednesday.
