Karachi: On the day of the wedding, the police arrested the bride, against whom a unique protest took place outside the Jamshed Quarter police station.
The relatives reached the police station with the bride’s sherwani and shouted slogans.
On the other hand, the bride’s relatives and local residents have said that the bride has been trapped by her brothers and sister-in-law with the alleged collusion of the police to occupy the inheritance house.

ASI Sajjad Ali, duty officer of Jamshed Quarter police station, wrote the FIR after recording the statement of the plaintiff Noor Fatima. Later, the investigation police announced the arrest of Osama Qureshi, the named accused in the case.
Relatives of Dalha Osama protested outside the Jamshed Quarter police station and demanded the release of Dalha.
The bride’s relatives and brother-in-law while talking to the media said that Osama’s brother and sister-in-law are residing in Liaquatabad while Osama is residing in House No. 385 Osmania Colony in front of the Central Jail. I gave an application in which I wrote that my parents are dead and I am single I am going to get married and my brother and uncle etc beat me up about 5 years ago on which local residents saved my life. The record of which is available in the police station, now again they brought my brother and two women to my house and threw me out of the house. I spent the whole night outside the house.
Osama had sought the help of the police to end the occupation of my house and to save my life from these people, despite the earlier application by Osama, the police rejected his request. I filed a case against Noor Fatima.
The residents of the area claimed that SHO Jamshed quarter had allegedly taken a bribe and registered the case and Osama was detained at around 6 o’clock in the morning of the wedding and revealed his arrest after registering the case at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. This leads to the suspicion of police malice.
During the protest outside the police station, the bride’s relatives and local residents demanded an impartial investigation from the higher authorities.
SHO Jamshed Quarter threatened the protestors and said that because of you people, I had to come from home at night to disturb my sleep. Longa, after which the protestors dispersed peacefully, upset with the behavior of the police.
