Mardan / Lahore: During the operation against illegal encroachment in Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two railway police officers were martyred due to the alleged firing of the occupying mafia operatives.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the railway department, it has been stated that the railway police in Mardan took action against illegal encroachments, during which unilateral firing was done by the occupation mafia.
As a result of the firing, two railway police constables were martyred, identified as Mohammad Waqas and Umar Khan.
In the statement, it has been stated that the railway administration received information that two-file, on receiving the information, an anti-encroachment team was immediately formed, which reached the said warehouse at nine in the morning, when the team was fired at indiscriminately by the accused.
According to the spokesman, the railway team retaliated bravely and arrested the two attackers, Munsif and Jamshed, on the spot, against whom a case has been registered in the complaint of the railway police.
It should be noted that the Zaman Sons railway warehouse was sealed by the district administration in the light of the orders of the Additional Sessions Judge in the case filed by the Railways. A case was filed in the Peshawar High Court on behalf of the warehouse occupiers, but they were not allowed to open the warehouse. However, he had desealed one side of the warehouse against the orders of Additional Sessions Judge Mardan.
Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Railways Aamir Ali Baloch took strict notice of the incident and ordered the Divisional Superintendent Peshawar to investigate the incident. The railway spokesperson says that the administration is standing side by side with the railway police and will bring the attackers to a logical end.
The railway spokesperson said that the anti-encroachment campaign against the encroachment of railway lands will continue with all intensity, until the encroachment mafia is eliminated from the entire railway network, China will not sit down.
IG Railways has said on the sad incident that the martyred constables are our pride, their heirs will not be left alone and they will be fully supported as per the law.
