Karachi: More than 200 teachers, including four Deans of Faculties and the President of the Teachers’ Association of Pakistan’s largest university, University of Karachi, signed their signatures to express solidarity with the teachers and students of American universities protesting against Israeli brutality in Gaza. The post has been issued with
210 teachers, including senior professors of Karachi University, have signed this letter expressing solidarity with American university teachers and students and condemning Israeli atrocities.
In the letter issued, Dean College of Social Sciences Professor Dr. Shaista Tabasim, Dean College of Islamic Studies Dr. Zahid Ali Zahidi, Dean College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacy) Dr. Haris Shoaib, Dean College of Science and Engineering Dr. Musrat Jahan Yusuf, President of the Teachers Association Dr. Shah Ali Dr. Al Qadr, Dr. Faizan Naqvi, Dr. Riaz Ahmad, Dr. Ghafran Alam of the Department of Petroleum Technology, Dr. Muhammad Asim of the Department of Computer Science and Dr. Asghar Ali of the Applied Economics Research Center are among the other teachers.
In the signature letter sent to the teachers and students of these different universities in the United States, it has been asked as an expression of solidarity that the teachers of the University of Karachi have expressed their solidarity with the teachers and students who have been protesting to the American authorities for the past several days. Despite the constant pressure and violence from the government, they are protesting against the human tragedy in Gaza and criticizing their government’s policy on it, showing their academic freedom and expressing solidarity.

It has also been severely criticized and it has been said that the war support of the US and other countries to Israel is condemnable.
It has been said in the letter that the teachers of the University of Karachi are standing side by side with the teachers of the American universities in this struggle for the academic freedom of the teachers and will continue to raise their voices together for a peaceful world and the freedom of Palestine.
