Peshawar: The Peshawar court suspended the three-month prison sentence given to the husband for the crime of second marriage without permission.
According to Express News, the husband filed an appeal against the sentence of three months imprisonment for the second marriage without the permission of the first wife, which was heard today by Additional District and Sessions Judge Syed Badshah.
The husband’s lawyer, Ahmed Salim, advocate, said that the family court has sentenced the appellant to three months imprisonment and a fine of five thousand rupees. The punishment of the family court is against Shariat. , the court should suspend the sentence pending the final decision on the appeal.

While suspending the sentence, the court issued notice to the parties and called for records and adjourned the hearing till April 30.
