6 people were injured in the accident and were shifted to Jinnah Hospital by Edhi Ambulances. The injured were identified as 8-year-old Ali Raza son of Shafiq, 10-year-old Nisa daughter of Yaqoob, 24-year-old Ali Nawaz son of Waqiu, 26-year-old Karim son of Shamar, 55-year-old Dil Nawaz son of Muhammad Khan and 40-year-old Salma wife of Shafi.
Shortly after the accident, the police seized the car number BPE-384 responsible for the accident from a commercial area some distance from the scene of the accident and arrested its young driver.
The driver has initially told the police in his statement that a car was coming at a high speed from the wrong side of the road on which he was going and he panicked and his car went out of control on the pavement. Hearing the screams of people in the accident, he got scared and fled from there, but he stopped at a short distance.
The driver of the vehicle also accepted the responsibility of the accident, the police say that the condition of those injured in the accident is out of danger.
