Karachi: The Supreme Court rejected the request for reconsideration of the order of action against the corrupt officers of FBR for corruption in the contracts of tracking containers.

The Supreme Court was indignant over the filing of a review petition against the order of action against the FBR officers.
Chief Justice Qazi Isa Faiz remarked that is the job of Chairman FBR only to protect corrupt officers? Is it the job of government agencies to try to protect corrupt officials?
The Chief Justice said in a conversation with the lawyer of FBR that you are the lawyer of FBR, which is relying on people’s money.
The Chief Justice remarked that FBR wants to nurture all corrupt people. Chairman summons FBR and asks why they want to protect corrupt officers.
Expressing indignation, Chief Justice Qazi Isa Faiz remarked that Supreme Court said to take action against corrupt officers, FBR came to their rescue. what is your problem Action should not be taken against corrupt officers? This unnecessary revision petition was filed which is surprising.
The Supreme Court directed to send a copy of the court order to all the members of the FBR Board and the Finance Secretary. The Supreme Court remarked that such applications should not be filed in the future which would waste court time.
Supreme Court rejected FBR’s revision petition.
