Peshawar: Due to continuous rains in Pakhtunkhwa, medical emergency has been imposed in several districts till April 30.
The provincial government has imposed emergency till April 30 in 15 districts including Peshawar due to severe weather conditions. In this regard, the prior permission of the district officers of the health department and the administration of the hospitals before leaving the duty station has been made mandatory. Some officials of other departments have also been instructed not to leave the duty station.
The statement said that severe weather conditions are expected in the southern and northern districts of the province as well as in the central districts, due to which the district health offices and hospital administrations have been instructed to be prepared. It has been made mandatory for all DHOs and Medical Superintendents to obtain prior approval from DG Health before leaving their duty station.
According to the announcement, to provide emergency health services in time in the districts of Dir Upper and Lower, Swat, Chitral Upper and Lower, Kohistan Upper and Lower, Kolai Pals, Mohmand, Khyber, Bajaur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan. DHOs and MS of these districts will remain at their duty stations.
