Interior Minister's decision to conduct a joint operation in the Kacha area

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has decided to conduct a joint operation in the Kacha area.

An important meeting of the National Action Plan Implementation Review Committee was held at the NECTA headquarters under the chairmanship of the Home Minister, in which the Federal Secretary Home, Head NECTA, DG FIA, while Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Islam Abad IGs and Secretaries Home attended.

National Coordinator Necta, National Action Plan and all teams of intelligence agencies and Chief Commissioners also attended the meeting. In the meeting, a briefing was given about providing modern technology to the police across Pakistan.

Detailed consultation and consideration was done to provide new technology to the police of all over Pakistan while the measures taken regarding the security of Chinese citizens were carefully reviewed. All the IGs gave a detailed briefing on security and safety measures for Chinese citizens.

It was decided to restrict the movement of those not following the SOPs laid down. The meeting reviewed the foolproof security arrangements in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore during the Iranian President’s visit.

The Interior Minister directed that all security agencies, including the police, ensure 100% implementation of the SOPs for the protection of Chinese citizens and any kind of negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. Strict disciplinary action will be taken for negligence in implementation.

Mohsin Naqvi said that in order to eliminate terrorism, we have to equip our institutions with modern technology and the Federation will provide all possible support to the provinces in this regard.

He said that the evil elements will be permanently eradicated from the Kacha area with the joint operation, modern technology including drones will be used for the joint operation.

The Interior Minister said that good progress has been made in the last few months to prevent trafficking and there has been a significant reduction, all agencies should ensure strict legal action against traffickers with a joint strategy.
