2 people were killed and 4 foreigners were injured as a result of suicide blast and firing near Landhi Mansehra Colony stop in Karachi area.
Rescue sources say that a suicide bomber blew himself up near the Landhi Mansehra Colony stop. After the terrorist incident, the dead and injured have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for immediate medical assistance. At the time of the explosion, firing also took place, in which 2 security guards were also injured.
The deceased could not be identified, but the ages of both are said to be around 30 and 35 years, while Noor Muhammad son of Muhammad Siddiq, 45 years old, and Langar Khan, son of Sawan Khan, 45 years old, are seriously injured among the injured.
Police and security agencies have surrounded the spot and started a search operation.
According to the preliminary information from the police, the explosion targeted a vehicle of Japanese citizens (HIS) in which 4 foreigners were riding, who were safe, terrorists are also among those killed.
DIG East Azfar Mahesar while visiting the accident site said that 2 attackers were killed in the suicide blast while one accomplice escaped from the spot.
Azfar Mahesar said that the foreigners were on their way to the export processing zone when their vehicle was targeted, a vehicle and a motorcycle were also damaged in the blast.
On the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has called for a report on the attack on the foreigner’s vehicle in Mansehra Colony. In the preliminary report given to the Chief Minister, it is stated that the foreigners were safe due to the timely action of the police, one of their guards was injured. Chief Minister Sindh directed the IG to investigate the incident and submit a report.
