Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to investigate the over-billing of K-Electric.

A meeting of the Energy Department was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. In the meeting, concern was expressed over the sending of excessive bills to consumers by HESCO, SEPCO and K Elekrak.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that no institution can ever be allowed to steal the people’s hard earned money in this way. Concrete measures should be taken to ensure refund of amounts received through over-billing. Amounts received from government and non-government customers in respect of digital meters. Immediate measures to install meters for consumers should be ensured.
