The decision to enlist the help of a special investigation team of the CIA to investigate the cases of abduction of minor girls
Karachi: The Sindh High Court ordered the Additional IG Karachi to form a special team for the recovery of the girls and arrest the accused involved in the abduction of the missing girl.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto heard a petition related to the disappearance of a minor girl.
SSP appeared in the Eastern court. SSP East said that a specific group is involved in the disappearance of minor girls. It has been decided to enlist the help of a special investigation team of the CIA to investigate the cases of abduction of minor girls. It has been written to the Additional IG Karachi that the assistance of the CIA should be provided for the investigation regarding the minor girls.
The petitioner’s counsel submitted that in 2022, a 5-year-old girl Seema had gone missing from Sohrab Goth area. According to the police report, an advertisement has been given in the newspapers regarding the girl’s disappearance.
The court has also ordered the Additional IG Karachi to form a special team to arrest the accused involved in the abduction of the girls and to appear personally to the Additional IG Karachi for the failure of the CIA to form a special team.
The court while seeking a progress report at the next hearing ordered the police to take all possible steps to recover the minor girl and adjourned the hearing of the application for 3 weeks.
