Rawalpindi Oil Tankers Owners Association called off the strike.

Negotiations between Rawalpindi Oil Tankers Owners Association and Islamabad district administration were successful. The tanker owners ended the strike on the assurance of resolving their demands.

Earlier, the tankers went on strike which suspended the supply to Islamabad Airport, Peshawar, Gilgit, Skardu, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Azad Kashmir region. The strikers said that the supply will be suspended until our demands are met.

He demanded that the filling demand under the metered system should be met immediately. The district administration and authorities have violated the February 20 agreement.

He said that less petrol diesel is being filled in the tankers under the measurement scale, which is causing loss to the tanker owners and consumers, about which OGRA and Ministry of Petroleum have been informed several times.

On the other hand, Chairman All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association Mir Shams Shahwani expressed indifference to any kind of strike or suspension of supply and said that supply to all depots is continuing, action should be taken against the striking mafias, Ogra and other companies. Condemn the attempt to fulfill their interests by blackmailing, strict action should be taken against these elements and cases should be registered.
