Peshawar: On Eid-ul-Fitr, a large number of tourists visited the exotic places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Department of Tourism and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority issued a report.
According to the report, more than 583 thousand tourists visited the tourist places in five days, last year more than 125 thousand tourists came in the five days of Eid.
More than 2 lakh 37 thousand tourists came to Galiyat. More than 1 lakh 51 thousand 900 tourists came to Malam Jabba, 92 thousand to Kamrat Valley, 77 thousand to Naran Kaghan. More than 24 thousand tourists enjoyed Chitral Valley.
Spokesman Tourism Authority Muhammad Saad says that during the Eid holidays, the tourism helpline 1422 remained active around the clock. All the authorities managed by the tourism department have provided all possible facilities to the tourists. Tourism Police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority also gave duty at tourist spots.
