Peshawar: Seven people have died since yesterday due to rains, landslides and roof collapses in Dir, Chitral and Swat districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to details, a cowherd fell down from the mountain and died while two people were injured in Istaro area of Upper Chitral.
Due to heavy rains, a landslide occurred at the house of Shahid Khan belonging to Badalai Deer Bala, due to which two girls died. The local people removed the bodies of the girls from the debris.
The roof of the house collapsed due to heavy rains in Maidan Lower Dir, due to which the woman died, the local people removed the body of the woman from the debris.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur while expressing grief expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family. He said that he prayed for the forgiveness of the dead children and patience for the survivors.
Ali Amin Gandapur directed the district administration Swat to provide immediate relief to the affected family and take necessary action to the concerned authorities to provide financial assistance to the affected family.
The chief minister said that we are equal participants in the grief of the bereaved family, the affected family will not be left alone.
