Karachi: Bilal Colony police station of West Zone district of Shahr Quaid killed a street criminal who killed a citizen and injured two people for resisting during a robbery.
According to the details, DI West Zone Irfan Baloch said regarding the recent developments that Bilal Colony Police killed a dacoit involved in the incident of killing a citizen and injuring 2 people on resistance during a robbery in New Karachi.
The DIG said that the dacoit killed in the encounter on Friday and Saturday was identified as Babar, who is a habitual criminal and has 9 cases against him under the provisions of Theft, Drugs, Illegal Weapons Case from 2019 to 2023. were listed.
He said that on April 3, the deceased robber along with his accomplice injured a youth named Yasin who was sitting with a friend outside the house in New Karachi Sector 5E.
He said that the police is working against the suspects who steal mobile phones on a priority basis, where are the mobile phones stolen in the incidents sold, who is their buyer and who supplies the weapons used in the incidents. Police is also working on all these important aspects in which some important successes have also been achieved, in the light of which the police is proceeding with the investigation.
Irfan Baloch said that the police have solved the second case of murder of citizens during robbery in District Central, apart from this, the two robbers who killed an elderly citizen while buying watermelons near Indah Mor on Sharjah Noor Jahan were also killed a few days ago. After that, they were tortured and killed by the people in North Nazimabad.
Irfan Baloch said that the West Zone Police is continuing its operations against street criminals, during which 8 robbers have been killed in the encounters while dozens of robbers have been arrested in an injured state, he said in response to a question. That the police have completed their homework against drug dealers and soon not only crackdown will be done against them but drug dens will also be demolished.
