The security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bunir district on the information about the presence of terrorists, during which the leader of the terrorists Salim alias Rabbani was killed and 2 terrorists were injured in a fierce exchange of fire.
According to ISPR, terrorist Salim alias Rabbani was also active in several acts of terrorism against security forces and extortion and target killing of innocent civilians. Terrorist Salim alias Rabbani was highly wanted by law enforcement agencies and the government had set a bounty of Rs 50 lakh on his head.
During the operation, two brave sons of Mati sacrificed themselves for the country. Lance Havaldar Mudassar Mehmood and Lance Naik Haseeb Javed martyred themselves while fighting bravely.
Lance Havaldar Mudassar Mehmood Shaheed belongs to Rawalpindi district, who served the defense of the country for 16 years while serving in the Pakistan Army.
Lance Naik Haseeb Javed Shaheed belongs to Poonch district of Azad Kashmir, who served the country’s defense duties while staying in Pakistan Army for 5 years.
