Federal Energy Minister Sardar Owais Laghari said in a statement that April electricity bills decreased by Rs 3.82 paise per unit, the overall decrease was due to quarterly and fuel price adjustments in dollar terms.
He said that the fuel price adjustment on the current month’s bills was reduced from Rs 7 6 paise per unit to Rs 4 92 paise, which reduced the fuel price by Rs 2 14 paise. The first quarter adjustment was Rs 4 43 paise. It has come down to Rs 2.75 paise, which has reduced electricity bills by Rs. 1.68 paise.
The energy minister said that according to the fuel price adjustment notification, the electricity bills will be reduced this month compared to last month.

As the country’s deficit increases, NEPRA determines the fuel price adjustment every month.
