Maryam Nawaz spent most of the Eid day with homeless children, women and the elderly

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz spent most of the Eid day in “Chaman”, “Aafit” and “Darul Falah” institutions for homeless special children, women and the elderly.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif reached among the helpless and homeless people. He visited “Chaman”, “Afeet” and “Darul Falah” in Social Welfare Complex Township. On this occasion, he also issued instructions to take steps to send elderly women on Hajj. He also gave gifts, toys and sweets to the children and cut and fed the Eid cake along with the special children.

Maryam Nawaz first reached Chaman, a center for destitute children, where she mingled with the children. He talked to the children and inquired about education and other occupations. The children thanked Maryam Nawaz for giving the gifts.

Later, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz went to the “Aafit” center established for destitute and homeless elderly people, where she inquired about the well-being of 39 elderly men and women. Maryam Nawaz made a sick woman sit next to her, and put bangles on her. Maryam Nawaz wished the destitute people Eid Mubarak, upon which the elders present were overwhelmed.

After that Maryam Nawaz reached Darul Falah where she met the widows and their children. Chief Minister Punjab placed his hand on the children and offered prayers.

Senator Pervez Rasheed, Provincial Information Minister Uzma Zahid Bukhari, Assistant Secretary Zeeshan Malik, Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, Information Secretary DGPR and other officials were also present on this occasion.
